JBReptiles has been founded in 2001 by myself Jérémie Bouscail on my first leopard geckos breeding season after two years of keeping leopard geckos since 1999, a wide variety of species has been maintained and reproduced until 2015. Since then, Eublepharis spp. are the only kept and reproduced species, all the juveniles available are born here. JBReptiles is today a non-profit accredited breeding, reproduction and sales are done to cover a part of the costs incurred by the animals.
Dozens and dozens world premieres were conducted during the course of JBReptiles existence, a majority of them being "combos" of genes but others are reproductions of pure species or subspecies crossing. The JBReptiles breeding and lines are recognized worldwide, including through various international publications in specialized magazines, you may find some of them in the "Publications" section.
For the welfare of animals and in order to ensure to only offer the best quality, the animals are followed by a vet specialist of reptiles.
Parasites testings are performed every 12 to 18 months randomly on adults, these same testings are performed regularly on insects from our suppliers.
Very few animals enter the facility and these are rigorously selected, upon arrival, strict quarantine and various tests are carried out over a period of 6 to 12 months.
Absolutely no preventive treatment is used at JBReptiles, animals are monitored by a vet who handles prescriptions of treatments if necessary and only after conducting tests to have a concrete diagnostic to be able to use only a targeted and effective treatment.
All animals are kept in individual installations except for some juveniles or sub-adults that may sometimes be kept in duos.
All insects used to feed the geckos are fed with a wide variety of food properly selected. Excepted for the CaCO3 that is available to adults in their installations, the only complement used for the leopard geckos is not offered directly to them or powdered on the insects, it is added to the insects food and assimilated during the "gut loading ", this product was developed specifically for JBReptiles in collaboration with some Italians, Swiss and Germans partners over 15 years of studies and extensive tests!
No female Leopard Gecko is reproduced before the second season after birth or at least 18 months.
The selective breeding process include regular outcross in different and distant lineages, not only to make sure to obtain the best quality, vigor and strength in the genetic heritage of the JBR lines but also to purpose you some animals of most advanced and refined morphs & selections...
